Accessibility
Accessibility commitments
WCAG 2.2 AA is the governing accessibility target for this prototype: visible focus, keyboard operability, captions-first media controls, and honest labeling. No third-party audit has been performed yet.
In this build
What is already in place
Target: WCAG 2.2 AA
Design and implementation decisions are made against WCAG 2.2 Level AA success criteria, including target size and focus appearance.
Keyboard support
Every navigation item, filter, and player control is reachable and operable by keyboard.
Visible focus
Focus rings are preserved across dark broadcast surfaces and light content areas.
Captions-first player
The persistent player exposes a captions toggle alongside play and volume.
Reduced motion
Ambient animation respects the operating system reduced-motion preference.
Tap targets
Interactive controls meet a minimum 44px target on touch devices.
Honest labels
Sample and unverified content is marked so assistive users are not misled.
Verification status
What has not been verified yet
Screen reader behavior, color contrast, 200% zoom, and full keyboard flows still require human verification. Results are tracked in the project's accessibility verification matrix (docs/qa/accessibility-matrix.md) and every row is currently pending, not passed. Nothing on this page should be read as a completed audit or a conformance claim.
